"In my latest documentary I Do Matter we come across the thoughts and feelings of the main character Judy Blank, during the peak of her music career. Many scenes in the documentary will be recognizable to young people who feel that they have to perform at all times, that their careers don't just happen, that they have to seize every opportunity that comes by and that they have to do everything themselves. Because they believe that all their responsibilities lies with oneself. The documentary gives a clear insight into the norms and believes of young people of today."
"I think it is important as a maker to address a problem in society and ultimately to change something with a film. I prefer to do this through a documentary, because then I can directly support people in the documentary. I have often heard that participating in a documentary can be therapeutic. Because of this therapeutic characteristic of a documentary, the audience could also experience a transformation in their minds."
