He served on the screening selection committee for the Science Fiction and Horror Academy. He judged the MOFA film festival. As a published writer, he was recommended for the Bram Stoker Award for best short horror fiction of the year.
His grandfather was a stretcher bearer in the U.S. Army during WW I.
Jay Woelfel is entertaining to work with and at the screenings of his diverse films. His direction feels natural as he encourages actors to find their way through the scripts. Post Production is also a field he navigates well. Our Film, JH was a labour of care because the veterans were on set with different views at times. As Producer/Writer, we collaborated many times to express a view of authenticity. Thanks to all involved, those that served and those currently on active duty. We appreciate the families. USA Military brings peace to the world from many that believe in peace. We will create additional episodes as many are returning from being off duty in the Entertainment fields.
