Director Statement

When I was in University, life put the film Delicatessen (1991) by Jean-Pierre Jeunet and Marc Caro in my way. From there, I always had the desire to work with satirical characters and surprising stories, with suspense and some comedy.

Jacob is an idea that has been around my head for some time, the result of this film is the evolution of those thoughts. It is a story that invites us to see behind the walls of each character. Jacob is a story that, like a box of surprises, uses fantasy to take us in temporary movement thanks to captivating elements. My idea is always to transport the public to worlds full of surprises.

Also working with actors who are not really experienced is very interesting because we can discover hidden worlds. And that's the background of this movie. The part of motivating and helping to find characters that maybe can be part of their daily lives is very seductive.
