Jack-o'-lantern

This stop-motion animation of "Jack-O-Lantern" mainly uses paper as the medium of presentation to tell the little-known origin and legend of our common pumpkin lanterns every Halloween. We hope to let everyone understand the story of Halloween jack-o-lanterns through the relaxed and humorous style and the use of stop-motion animation expression methods~

story introduction :

Once upon a time, in Ireland, there was a stingy and tricky man Jack (Stingy Jack). Because of his evil behavior, the devil decided to go to capture Jack's soul to guard against him.

At night, Jack met a demon who wanted to take his soul. Under the pretense of inviting the demon to drink at the hotel, he deliberately did not bring any money to pay the bill, so he persuaded the demon to use it as a coin to pay for the wine, but the treacherous Jack did not take it. To pay for the drink, but to trap the devil so that it cannot come out to play tricks on him.

The devil decided to negotiate with Jack. If you let me out, he will not come to take your soul again. After a few days, Jack unfortunately encountered death and lost his life. Also because the devil made an agreement with Jack not to take his soul, so in the end Jack could neither go to heaven nor hell.

On this dark and windy night, Jack had nowhere to go. Out of pity, the devil gave him a fire from hell, so that he could still wander between this world and the next world, and Jack was on the road. The pumpkin next to it was hollowed out to be used as a lantern to illuminate, and later this lantern became the common jack-o-lantern in our Halloween.
