From the 2nd grade on, Jace was drawn to a stage, from starring in several school plays, to participating in after school creative activities, this paved a way for a lifetime affinity for theatrical performances. At the young age of 9, a friend of the family taught Jace how to shoot stop motion animation using only a VCR camcorder and some of his toy’s. With his love for animated films and television cartoons, Jace was compelled to study 3D animation and graphic design throughout grade school. Life got away from Jace and pushed him in a different direction. His passion for music propelled Jace back to the stage, this time on guitar. Jace joined forces with multiple local bands, recorded a few metal albums, and toured around Florida through the mid-south.
In his almost his thirties, Jace always had a longing for wanting to try something new. While working in the audio department for Universal Studios, Jace purchased his first cinema style camera, began to network with local filmmakers, creating short films, music videos, commercials, and with his persistence and dedication, have those films shown at local film festivals earning Jace several iMdb credits, even including his Directorial.
Today, Jace is a multi award winning animator, nominated for a prestigious Webby Award for his stop motion work on “Chompin Stompin Stop Motion Music Video”.
Over the past 2 years, Jace has been focused on developing innovative ways to bring inanimate objects to life, merging technology with animation, utilizing the power of game engines and the flexibility of open source software. With his passion dialed in, Jace continues to collaborate with other multi award winning artists, uniting together to build a community where aspiring artists can grow and try new mediums!
