Jacopo Marengo is an Italian producer and filmmaker born in Milan in 1993. After earning a degree in Management Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Milan in 2017, he spent four years working as a Project Manager in the IT industry across France and Spain. In 2022, he shifted his focus to cinema, enrolling at Catalyst – Institute for Creative Arts and Technology in Berlin to formally pursue filmmaking.
Since then, Jacopo has worked on more than ten short films, primarily as a producer and production manager, developing a strong international network and a hands-on approach to filmmaking. He specializes in fiction films that combine entertainment with social engagement, with a focus on thrillers, drama, and experimental genres.
His portfolio includes two directed short films and eight produced works. His directorial debut, Epiphany, has been selected at the Gijón Film Festival (Spain), Bedford Independent Film Festival (UK), and Cinema Indie People (Italy). Jacopo is currently in post-production with three new shorts: Chroma, Ashes, and Night Quartet. As both a producer and director, his goal is to contribute to contemporary cinema with bold, meaningful stories that reflect and challenge today’s society.
