Director Biography - Greg Furman

For over a decade, Greg Furman has managed to professionally balance his focus between acting, writing, composing, editing, and directing. One of his early chapters began in NYC, running a non-profit theater company (Fundamental Theater Project) as Associate Director while honing his craft through theater and cinematography. Upon moving to Los Angeles in 2013, a successful script pitch resulted in his employment as a writer for several high profile comedians before gaining further recognition during the social media comedy boom of 2016, resulting in his work garnering over 100 million views across platforms. In an effort to preserve his love for filmmaking, Greg shifted his focus away from writing for clients towards creating his own projects - paying the bills as a server until donning the director / editor’s hat for music videos and industrial campaigns. In 2023, Greg pivoted one final time towards building out his company, Baggage Claim Productions, with the aim of telling stories through the unique lens he shares with those closest to him. With genuine humility and an eager anticipation, Greg looks forward to the continued evolution of his creative journey alongside his brilliant wife, friends, and artists he’s excited to meet along the way.

Greg currently resides in Los Angeles.
