JENGA

JENGA is an interdisciplinary spoken word project, which thematizes the recondition of sexual violence on FLINTA+ (female, lesbian, inter, trans, agender) people in particular. The fundament is layed by the performative poetry written by Sovia, which is audio-visually translated into practice by film - and motion designer Lash Production. In cooperation with a FLINTA+ freestyle hip hop and breakdance crew, directed by Muriel Hardt a Poetry Clip has derived that surpasses itself in terms of content and visual realization. JENGA carves out the immanence and visibility of voices and survivors of sexual violence overwhelmingly. JENGA can keep balance between consent and boundaries in a sensitive and empowering way with a will to shake the unsound tower of stunned silence. It gives a motion to the poem, a space for rage but above all it gives violence a face. JENGA draws a line under shame, silence and stillness and creates a space to express the weight that lies upon the oppressed to break up the patriarchy. to give it the rest.

Director Biography - Muriel Hardt, Sovia

lila.sovia (keine Pronomen: * 1999 Zwenkau) ist gebürtige Leipziger:in mit polnischen Wurzeln und lebt derzeit in Hamburg. Mit 17 Jahren betritt die Spoken Word Senkrechtstarter:in im U20 Bereich zum ersten Mal die Slam Bühnen Deutschlands und performt sich innerhalb eines halben Jahres von der Stadt- zur Landesmeister:in der U20 Szene. Ihr sechster Auftritt ist das Finale der deutschsprachigen Meisterschaften 2017 in Hannover. Kurz darauf zieht Sovia nach Hamburg, tritt unter anderem auf dem MDR Roast mit Felix Lobrecht und Ingolf Lück auf und gibt kreativ Schreib-Workshops am Literaturhaus Hamburg. Seit 2019 lebt Sovia fest in der Hansestadt und studiert Lehramt, ist im Bereich des Queer bzw. intersektionell-feministischem Aktivismus tätig und mittlerweile ein fester Bestandteil der deutschsprachigen Spoken Word Szene geworden. Außerdem ist Sovia Herausgeber:in der Anthologie „feel gook ink -Tintenfrische Band 4“ - eine Textsammlung der 20 besten Slam-Texte deutschsprachiger Jugendpoet:innen - die zusammen mit Julius Altoethmar im Juni diesen Jahres im Lektora Verlag erschienen ist. Zurzeit arbeitet Sovia an verschiedenen szenischen und performativen Projekten und Gedichten, sowie ein einem bilingualen Gedichtband, der sowohl als literarisches Werk, als auch audiovisuell als Spoken Word Album veröffentlicht werden soll.
