Izabella Gustowska. Born in Poznań, where she lives and works. Professor at the University of Arts in Poznań at the Faculty of Animation and Intermedia runs the Experimental Film Studio 1, and at the Collegium Da Vinci the Drawing Studio in the field of Graphics. He works in the field of various media - painting objects, graphics, photography, installations, video, video performance, film. Author of early experimental films / 16mm/ "Relative Similarities" 1980 Author of experiments with the form of film images, e.g.: "Rose - Love" from 2005, "Life is a Story" / 60'/ from 2003, "Sztuka Difficult Choice" /19'/ from 2006, "The Art of Easy Choice" / 19'/ from 2007. "Poison" / 20'/ from 2018
Author of the extensive, first-on-this-scale multimedia exhibition "Life is a Story" at the National Museum in Poznań in 2007.
Author of the 30-projection "Media Story - SHE" extended in 13 spaces, shown at the Malta International Theater Festival in 2008, and the 2014 video installation "The Case of Edward H..., The Case of Iza G..." at the Arsenał - Elektrownia Gallery in Białystok / 2015 /, in which used 43 short films presented on monitors and projections.
In the years 2015-2018 he works with synchronous images, e.g. A 12-channel projection /17'/ of "New York and the Girl" shown in the Art Stations gallery in Poznań or a video-performance performed in the Poznań Pavilion using a 3-channel projection of "HYBRID" /60'/ to the recent multimedia exhibitions "Absolute Similarities" at the Zamek Cultural Center in Poznań in 2020/21 and "Iza G's Manifestos." at Galeria Wozownia in Toruń in 2022.
Her works can be found in significant museums in Poland and abroad, such as the collection of works at the National Museum in Wrocław, graphic works at MOMA in NYC, or the Susch Museum in Switzerland. Medium-length debut "The Case of Josephine H." /50'/ was shown at the New Horizons festival in 2014, the 11th Annual Big Apple Film festival in NYC, New Voices, Ancient Echoes: Polish Women In Film in NYC 2014.
