I was dying & no-one noticed

This story is about a detective who loves doing his job and solving crime. He also believes that his
purpose in life is to protect and provide for his family. He never gets to spend time with his wife and
their new born baby, which leads to him to not realizing that his wife is going through postpartum
depression and he only finds out about it when he find his wife and baby dead with a suicide note. He is
left with trauma and guilt of never being there to support his wife emotionally.

Itumeleng Matlolane is a South African Director and writer. She has written and directed I was dying and no-one noticed.
she is currently a student at NEMISA and she has attended the basetsana scriptwriting workshops sponsored by the department of sports,arts and culture as well as GFC.
it does not end there as she was featured on Ufelani , she also worked with the likes of Mandisi disi Sindo

Director Statement

well what inspired me to write and direct this piece,was that i saw a gap in stories of prenatal and postpartum depression not being told. my aim is to tell stories from my heart and soul and to tell real stories things that happen and no-one talks about .
i also wrote this piece touch people's souls as intend to evoke viewers feelings
shooting this film was very interesting , the crew and cast were amazing.
