Committed to diverse storytelling, Ivonne emphasizes the representation of women and underrepresented communities while maintaining a global perspective and a connection to local stories. With research experience at the National Geographic Society, Ivonne is dedicated to making specialized knowledge accessible to a broader audience. Her extensive field experience in Latin America has led her to adopt co-participatory methodologies in her projects. Ivonne is currently participating in the Documentary Campus 2023 Masterschool non-fiction program, where she is developing her first feature-length documentary. Her latest short film, "Sabor y Amor," premiered at the VTIFF Made Here film festival in April 2023.
