Director Statement

This piece is very personal to me. I wanted to investigate what emotional dependency might look like in a given span of time. Sometimes we find ourselves in a difficult place in our relationship, so we compartmentalize those emotions and focus our energy on a friendship that elicits a feeling of peace. A mutual trust where no lines are crossed, and only bridges of understanding are built. A complex language. There is a feeling of freedom and escape, but it's underpinned by the reality that it will be fleeting. Once those paths diverge, a renewed perspective can emerge that gives strength to confront what we were running from all along.
