It Takes a Village to Raise a Nation
This film recounts the 20-year story of a great humanitarian effort in the Arusha region of Tanzania. A small Christian missionary group from Atlanta Georgia began a partnership with a Tanzanian Pastor to transform a small village of widows and orphans. This ministry has since seen miraculous levels of life change and impact on this region through an English medium primary school and other humanitarian efforts. However, they are only getting started and now are working with the Tanzanian Gov't to develop a new public school curriculum, as well as in the process of raising money to start the construction of a stem school and nursing school.

My name is Nicholas Cannon, I’m a young filmmaker from Atlanta Georgia with a passion for telling compelling stories through film. Currently, I’m enrolled at Furman University studying Business Administration and Religion, as well as being a full-time athlete on the football team. I have continued to work as a freelance filmmaker throughout my time in college working on advertisement, corporate, creative, and narrative work. After college I hope to work at a prominent creative agency or film production studio somewhere within the United States as I refine my skills for storytelling and creating. Ultimately, I hope to one day start my own film company and pursue the life of an entrepreneur filmmaker. As I continue to grow and develop as a filmmaker, I hope to remain committed to telling stories that are thought-provoking and impactful. I truly believe film has the power to change lives and shape the very world we live in and am excited to soon enter this dynamic and important industry full-time.
