Director Statement

This film was inspired by my personal anxieties regarding the COVID-19 lockdown and the resulting feelings of loneliness and claustrophobia I faced in the months leading up to the making of the short. Thematically, it is very much influenced by the works of Kubrick, Malick, Brakhage, Aster, and Lynch and the editing of the film also provided to be a valuable experience for me as I was able to experiment with various effects and styles to develop the tone and visual presentation of the short. What started out as a series of short, basic video clips of myself turned into a wonderful way to express my visual creativity and resulted in what I consider to be my best film yet.
