Director Biography - Pavlos Kavadias

My name is Pavlos Kavadias and I am an independent filmmaker. I was also a photographer and a puppeteer. I have no formal studies in film making but have attended some film seminars from noted Greek film directors.

A small documentary about the destruction of a small river, started me in filmmaking. Since then, I have made travel documentaries, short films and animation. I also experimented with short fiction films always using as simple means of production, as possible.

I have also done workshops about film making concentrating on working as a group, rather than delegating roles.

You can get more information on my work here:

Two of my films, ”the guest” and ”Tuva in a timeless way” were officially selected in three festivals: Docfest in Greece, Goa and Jaipur film festivals in India.
