Islamabad International Film Festival

1. Films produced after 2016 only are accepted.

2. Short Film submissions must be with a minimum duration of 5 minutes and a maximum duration of 45 minutes, including credits.

3. IIFF has a no tolerance policy against copyright music or stock footage usage.

4. A downloadable file is a must in the submission of all categories, else the project will be not proceed to further judging rounds as we require this for screenings and tests.

5. Films containing explicit sexual content, racism, or intimate scenes will not be selected. Films crossing ethical boundaries, containing nudity and disrespecting religion shall not be included in the festival and will be disqualified.

6. The festival is open to all films from across the world.

7. Films in languages other than English must have English subtitles. Subtitles should be clear and properly synchronized. Films in other language then English without subtitles will not be selected.

8. Entry fees are only refundable if the festival is cancelled due to any unprecedented situation else the entry fee is not refundable.

9. Films should be submitted in MP4 or MOV and a minimum resolution of 1080p.

10. A panel of experienced judges will review and select films based on acting, storytelling, cinematography, sound design, and overall creativity.

11. Selected films will be notified, announcements on social media platforms and via email will be made.

12. Filmmakers grant the festival the right to screen their film during the event and any associated promotional activities.

13. Filmmakers grant the festival the right to use excerpts from their films for promotional purposes. Festival sponsors or partners may have logos displayed during the event.

14. The festival will request a downloadable file.

15. The festival retains the right to reject entries that violate the rules.

16. The decision of the festival board is final and shall not be challenged but should be respected.

17. The Winners will be listed on the Official website of IIFF.

18. The submitter is responsible for the ownership, authenticity of the project. Submitted films must be the original work of the filmmaker.

19. Submission in the wrong category can lead to no selection or disqualification.
