A documentary film on Islam in Latin and Central America by Belizean Muslim Bilal Morris. It explores the rise of the islamic faith in the Central American and Latin American region and how Islam came to the region through business and trade by Middle Eastern Muslims who immigrated there in the 1950s. The film also explores the prominence of Latin American Muslims in the Central and South America.

Director Biography - Bilal Morris

Bilal Morris is a journalist and filmmaker that has written on a wide aspect of events that include politics, culture, history, world music and Islam. He graduated from California State University Los Angeles in 1997 with a major in Broadcast Journalism as well as a minor in Film Production. He is a Muslim from Belize in Central America, and has covered a lot of issues relating to Muslims in Central America and the Caribbean. He is an educator with the Los Angeles Unified School District and a documentary filmmaker.
