Tariq Sayed is a British screenwriter, director, and producer. In his debut feature film Isaac, he has embraced his passion for science-fiction and horror and built a world that evokes a stark future
reality.
With a DIY attitude to filmmaking, Tariq has produced a variety of projects. With no formal training, his style and skillset have developed over almost two decades of making short films,
mockumentaries, and other forms of video production.
Over the years, Tariq has put together a tight-knit team of collaborators, some of whom are enduring childhood friends. Together in 2022, the team founded Diamondback Pictures and
continue to work alongside each other.
Tariq is currently developing two new projects: a short and a feature, to begin production towards the end of 2023.
Science-Fiction and Horror films have always fascinated me. Going on a journey with characters in an alternate reality is something I find truly exciting.
In writing Isaac, I wanted to do just that. I set out to create a world that stems from our present day norm; exploring powerful technology that we see emerging today, with the exaggerated horror of its potential consequences.
Isaac is an ideas film that asks questions, with a very human story at its heart. One that I hope will met with intrigue, and have the capacity to be both universally relatable as well as shocking.
Production has spanned almost four years, and I am delighted to finally share it. From the original idea to be transformed and brought to life as Isaac would not have been possible without the effort and dedication of so many people, and I hope it is received with as much enjoyment as we had making it.
