Director Statement

Is This America? is an accumulation of the nature of America's treatment of the Black community. As a Black woman in today's society, I see on a daily how much this country can toss aside and mistreat an entire race of people yet argue that we are simply too upset about the past. I made this experimental film to reveal to those who doubt that although there is animosity for the past for different transgressions, there is a definitive cause for feelings of upset for the present.
