My name is Christopher Lawrence, I am a 3D animator from the U.S. Virgin Islands. I became interested in animation when I discovered that animation is the science of observation and movement.
Growing up in the Virgin Islands I became very accustomed to experiencing hurricanes. Our lifestyle as islanders revolves around this experience. After both category 5 hurricanes Irma and Maria hit the Virgin Islands alongside other islands, it devastated us in more ways than one. IrMaria reveals the ways in which the storms have torn apart our homes, family,as well as emotional well being. The story follows a young girl as she tries to overcome the trials that the hurricanes bring.
