Inwood film festival is the best neighborhood film festival for a highly art-loving Civic minded audience in one of the world's most diverse neighborhoods in New York. It is more engaged and pulls more sold out shows than many citywide festivals I have participated in, believe me! It's staff and board work hard and are highly effective in making their films a neighborhood phenomenon. I could not recommend them more highly. Thumbs up!

The Inwood Film Festival is the exact type of community film festival a filmmaker is looking for. They are warm and welcoming. The organizers of the festival kn ow their audience and community. The festival attracts great filmmakers and a great audience.

A great community-driven festival. Communication is transparent and fantastic. The spirit of the fest is very friendly. They are really building a great annual event up near the top of Manhattan. My film "Three Trees (In Three Parts)" took home the Long Shorts Award this year, which was a big surprise because my film was more of an experimental film. As many experimental filmmakers know, it is rare for this type of movie to win awards when they compete against narrative films. Inwood FF does the little things that make me want to submit to it every year.
