Introducing Pause a Moment
Pause a moment by Stanford Medicine is a web application for healthcare workers (e.g., doctors, nurses, hospital service workers, etc.) who experience mental health symptoms from the COVID-19 pandemic or who wish to build resilience and improve self-care. It was designed by a team of psychologists and experts in digital mental health at Stanford University and affiliated institutions.
PAM provides evidence-based, psychology tools tailored for healthcare workers, and drawn from psychological strategies proven to reduce symptoms of PTSD, depression, anxiety, stress, burnout, and prolonged grief.
The PAM team has developed several strategies to overcome the known barriers to mental health care use:
Health care workers can use PAM for free
Health care workers can use PAM anonymously
Health care workers can use PAM whenever and wherever needed as long as they have access to a device with an internet connection and web browser
