Annino Mele, one of the best known figures of contemporary Sardinian banditry, has spent more than thirty years of his life in prison. The newly-acquired freedom is a world of ruins, where time has irreversibly eroded everything. Imprisonment can reduce people to “heaps of insignificant flesh”. Fears have the shape of a ghost looming from the past to warn Annino, who in spite of everything must go forward with tenacity to find his place in life.

Director Biography - Antonio Valerio Frascella

Antonio Valerio Frascella, classe 1991, nasce in Lombardia da emigranti pugliesi.
Nel 2014 si diploma in scrittura cine-televisiva alla Scuola Civica di Milano.
Interessato principalmente al cinema documentaristico e antropologico, realizza i suoi primi lavori da indipendente. Nel 2015, per il Festival belga “5sur5” gira il cortometraggio-documentario “La Louvière sud”, .
Dopo alcuni anni, ritorna agli studi e nel 2020 si specializza in regia cinematografica presso il Conservatorio Internazionale Scienze Audiovisive di Locarno.
