Andrew is a skier, climber, alpinist, photographer, filmmaker and explorer. He is passionate about all things related to the outdoors, environment, storytelling and using his time, treasure & talents to help leave the world better than he found it. With a B.A in Broadcasting & Entrepreneurial Leadership from Gonzaga University - he is most at home telling stories in far away, hard to reach places - where art and the human experience collide. In those rare moments when he's not holding a camera, you can find Andrew in the mountains skiing, climbing, riding bikes - with his cell phone turned off.
We created INTO THE ICE to showcase the wild, untouched beauty of Cordillera Darwin, to document several first ascents and to bring awareness to the effects of climate change on this changing environment. It's a place not many people know about - a true adventure playground for those seeking an escape to the mountains untethered by an internet full of beta, crowded trails and traffic jams on the mountain. The climbing in these mountains is still in it's infancy; there are no accurate maps, no roads, just getting there is part of the fun. From sea to summit, climbing here brings the full package of challenging approaches, infamous Patagonia weather and the blissful payoff that only comes from climbing as a tiny spec - almost invisible to the eye - surrounded by the grandeur of this landscape. We hope this place can continue to be what it is, unspoiled, raw, a true chance to see our world as it is...wild, untamed & beautiful beyond measure. Enjoy and we hope you are inspired for your next adventure!
