Welcome to the Into The Darkness Horror and Fantasy Film Festival 2019. The festival runs for a month and a half across multiple venues in the midlands region in the United Kingdom. Expect shock, horror, gore, broomsticks and much more as we screen classic films old and new in exciting screening environments.

We are running a free short film competition, the winners of the competition get their film screened before some of our great film features. As well as other screening through our partnerships later in the year. Entry is FREE!

Winners short films will be screened over the course of the festival at various venues. You will also be invited to the screenings. All winners will receive 12 month Bird Member Plus memberships to The Mockingbird Cinema and Kitchen as additional prizes.

Rules & Terms

All films submitted to the festival must have full ownership rights and clearances for their content and you agree and permit the film being shown to an audience for the duration of the festival.

Non English speaking films must have English subtitles.
