A lonely, weak-willed office worker named Loeb finds himself at the center of a workplace embezzlement investigation. While navigating the unethical demands of his boss to cook the books and mislead the internal audit, he meets a new and mysterious employee named Jeannie, with whom he immediately connects. Jeannie invites Loeb to lunch the next day, and after guiding him deep into the nearby forest, she leads him to a hidden meadow where his mind spirals into a dark rabbit hole of murder and insanity.
