In the Garden of the Plants

Michelotti Park, once hosting the Zoological Garden of Turin, today lives in a state of total degradation and abandonment, an abandonment that, however, has allowed fauna and flora to flourish freely and new unnamed guests to find refuge there. As in the poetry of Rainer Maria Rilke The panther (Der Panther) - which tells the tragedy of the cage with the feline’s eyes - the documentary investigates the realities beyond the fence of Michelotti Park: not far from the daily miseries of invisible humans lies a chorus of voices fighting for a respectful reopening of its sui generis ecosystem.
