Emre Başer was born in 2001 in Ankara. He completed his primary education at Cumhuriyet Primary School in Izmir, his secondary education at Çanakkale Merkez Secondary School, and his high school education at Ibrahim Bodur Anatolian High School. He is currently pursuing his undergraduate studies in the Faculty of Law at Gazi University in Ankara. During his high school years, Emre developed an interest in filmmaking. He realized that he not only enjoyed watching films but also took great pleasure in the filmmaking process. To nurture this passion, he continues to educate himself and actively engage in creating films.
In this film, I drew inspiration from the observations and experiences I gained as a law student. I wanted to address the pressures and inequalities created by society's sexist structures, particularly those affecting women in the workplace. The internal turmoil experienced by the character reflects a deep truth that many women feel but often remain silent about. By examining the emotional and psychological impacts of this dynamic, the film invites the audience to think critically and reflect. As a director, my goal is to encourage the audience to empathize with these issues and take steps towards gender equality.
