The Portland Asian Film Festival will highlight films from Far East Asian countries. The festival will take place from September 22nd to September 27th 2019 at three of Portland's most iconic local theaters. Actors, directors and producers from Far East Asian countries will be in attendance giving members the opportunity to mix, mingle and connect with film industry professionals from around the world.
The festival will feature five sections as follows: competition, film out of competition, newcomers, retrospective, and short film - with competition and newcomers eligible for awards.
We promised and postponed three times the first edition in 2016, cause we are a new association. Now we're in better position having won grants and with the confirmed support of foreign countries.
Also some of the submissions here for 2016 were included in the official program of Asian Film Festival in Italy, the thirteen edition. So we watched all the submissions and we selected some of them. We encoureg all the filmakers and producers to partecipate in the fourteen edition of the Asian Film Festival in Italy.
