Within a day, a journey with four destinations. At each stop, we meet an elderly woman who lives alone, somewhere between the freedom and the solitude of her house. The time that perpetuates or changes the routines of these women, the fears that imprison them, and the dreams that set them free.

João Garcia Neto (1998) is a Portuguese director and visual artist. João studied Communication at the University of Aveiro (Portugal). In the last year of his BA, he enrolled in a mobility program at the Intermedia Department of the University of Fine Arts in Poznań (Poland). In 2021 he finished a Post-Graduate course in Visual Studies: Photography and Post-Cinema at the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences at NOVA University Lisbon. In 2021 he directed two short films: the documentary drama “Insular Sights” (2021) and the film essay "A Straight Story" (2021). In 2019 he holds his first solo exhibition - “Sangria” at Galeria Ocupa!, Porto (Portugal) and in 2020 he was part of the collective exhibition “New Promised Land” by the Han-Ian Commune in Macau, China. Though most of his works revolve around cinema in all its artistic and technical aspects, he’s often involved in theatre too. He's now pursuing a Master's Degree in Cinema at Lisbon Theater and Film School.
