Director Statement

The idea of this film was spontaneous. I suggested the idea to my partner and she agreed to participate in the project. We had already rehearsed the dance, but we didn't know how to use it yet. So it all started with a dance! I wrote the script and we got to work.

The decision to shoot this film in black and white was made because I like aesthetics and atmosphere of cinema of those times. Also it’s great experience. We had fun.

I think cinema, like any other art form, is a riddle that the viewer needs to guess. Therefore, the author need to give space for imagination or reflection, that is, after viewing, the viewer should have questions that he will think of logically or use his imagination to answer. I hope we succeeded in this.

Dance is an interaction, a dialogue between two (or more) people, it's always some kind of story. Danny and Molly's dance is an introduction. Nonverbal interaction can sometimes say more than any words.
