Inshallah
Inshallah is a short film created after participating in a participatory video project.
One day, after a text written with my mother in mind, I decide to call her. From there, interwoven threads of common thoughts and fears are discovered between her and me.
Something felt nostalgic before time becomes an opportunity to find each other again but also to rediscover places long unvisited. And to thus rediscover the dimension of return, physical and affective, returning to a land like Tunisia, emblematic for me of the rejection and the desire for reconciliation, between my mother and me.

After graduating in Philosophy at the University of Turin at the end of the 2022, I studied Direction at Accademia del cinema Renoir in Rome in the 2023. As a graduation short I personally directed the fiction short film Madre أم ("Mother"), that received a special mention from the jury on the occasion of the Festival du Cinéma Reality in Tangier, Morocco.
In the fall of 2023 I took part in the Zalab's School of Participatory Video and Documentary Cinema.
A project of mine for a short documentary film was selected by Premio Zavattini, organized by AAMOD archive, and right now (2024) I have just started the formation and tutoring provided by Premio Zavattini.
