Inherit the Land

Based on the book by Gene Stowe
One hundred years ago, Miss Maggie Ross died in Marvin, NC, and her will was discovered upstairs in her home. That set in motion the events that established racial harmony in the community down to the present day - the publishing of the will, the caveat by 109 cousins who claimed she was incompetent, the sensational two-week trial in the Union County Courthouse, the against-all-odds verdict by 12 white men who upheld the will, and the shared economic participation and mutual friendship the Ross's had modeled with their life and ensured with their 800-acre bequest to Bob and Mittie.
