Indiedance Film Festival

This festival has a great team who value filmmakers and their projects without chasing for reputation or running on films that have played in previous festivals.
I highly recommend INDIEDANCE Festival with amazing team who seem to be film enthusiasts and creative minds themselves.
It was a honor to be one of the winners and I felt respected and valued. I am extremely grateful for being part of this festival. It is my first experience with a personal short film and I appreciate that you value the independent work.

Great inaugural year! Organized and communicative leadership, with a friendly and active community of filmmakers. Worth the entry! Really looking forward to watching this festival grow.

When INDIEDANCE was selected by me completely by random - i was not expecting too much. We were planning festival run for whole year for our short film, and there were several empty months with no big or interesting movie events. So, by sheer luck we picked up and submitted to Indiedance.
Then happened pandemic, a lot of such small-scale events closed or postponed indefinitely. Honestly, i was expecting same from Indiedance.

Oh, how i was wrong. Yes, they moved dates once, but also they managed to find creative exit, by holding virtual red carpet event - safe for everyone, yet your work getting exposure on broad scale!

And what i also liked - their rule - "Your film will not be made available online by our festival for any reason". It is crucial, especially for small budget shorts - after you openly will screen your film on-line - chances that most festivals and streaming services will deny you entry later. That decision of Indiedance team speaks of understanding of pains of filmmakers and dedication to their work.

I wish them to return after pandemic will pass and mature into full-time festival with proper screening in cinemas. With such work qualities of festival team it is going to be carefully and attentively organized event.

In the sum of all - it was yes, small and just created festival - but it was real, under moderate price, with timely and adequate communication and team that tries their best to deliver their promises and fulfil expectations.

Definitely worth to submit for small-scale projects.

This was one of the best festival experiences I've ever had. It exceeded all expectations. A huge congratulations to Craig and his team for pulling off a festival that didn't just manage to go ahead in the midst of the pandemic, but turned out to be such a highlight of the past few months.

I've done around 30 festivals with IN ORBIT since the lockdown and some had little to no communication with filmmakers or shied away from an online event entirely.

On the other hand, the networking, support and attention to detail that Indiedance showed every filmmaker was really impressive all around. I can see them becoming a huge festival in absolutely no time.

In the COVID era, film festivals had to either innovate or fail. IndieDance did a fabulous job of innovating. The communication, selection, and announcement call (recorded for later use) was outstanding. The organizers showed clearly they had done an in-depth review of our film, were knowledgeable and accurate, and encouraging in very specific ways. We were thrilled to receive awards, but even more happy that those awards referred to very specific aspects of our film, thus giving potential viewers an accurate picture of what to expect. We really loved the opportunity to see other's works and intend to collaborate and connect with our fellow filmmakers from this point on. Also, we were very glad to have a call from a sales specialist who had seen the film through the festival and who advised us on some of the issues going on now with sales and distribution. Again, a very productive interchange. We highly recommend this film festival to filmmakers who hold themselves to a high standard, and who expect an equally high standard from a festival.
