RIP INDIE HORROR FILM FESTIVAL, 2010 - 2023
The Indie Horror Film Festival returned from the dead in 2010 under the management of Breaking Fate Entertainment with hopes of swallowing mortals whole and filling their souls with a thirst for blood and horror. The Indie Horror Film Festival screened films from all over the world and brought the best of blood, gore and horror to the big screen for you to enjoy!
We are sad to announce that following the end of the 2023 festival season, Indie Horror Film Festival will be going on a potentially permanent hiatus. This has come for a number of reasons and It is always possible that it could come back to life in the future, but for now the Festival Director / Owners are discontinuing this festival to explore other opportunities.
Thank you all for 13 Bloody Years! *Cheers
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Indie Horror Film Festival is an independent film festival and mixed media event. We strive to support independent film by providing a venue and screen for them to be seen.
We are what many call a filmmakers film festival, as beyond the average horror fan, we want to encourage attendance by filmmakers in effort to see them network with others and possibly see future collaboration together on future projects.
The Indie Horror Film Festival started in 2005 (known then as "Indy Horror Film Festival") by Gatlin Pictures (Jason Davis - Horror Author / Festival Founder). The festival gain some size but then disappeared for a couple years. In 2010 Breaking Fate Entertainment (Willy Adkins - Producer) joined Davis in an effort to bring the Indy "Back from the Dead". Since the new effort, Breaking Fate Entertainment has continued to bring the event back annually ever since welcoming visitors and filmmakers from all over the world!
MISSION & OBJECTIVE
We strive to support independent film, and promote all types of dark art. We go the extra mile to get recognition beyond the festival alone for the amazingly talented people in this industry. Even films submitted to us that don't get accepted for the festival are very often reviewed and written about by one of our columnists for one of our websites including Breaking Fate Magazine or the Cinema Soup Podcast! We also offer distribution at will to our independent film / tv network, Breaking Fate TV!
