IndieFlicks is the UK's monthly film festival, supporting the best up and coming filmmakers from around the world. IndieFlicks is continuously growing, hosting simultaneous screenings in London, Manchester & Sheffield; plus a 'Take Two' replay of the programme in Liverpool the week after.

"They only pick the best films for their screenings so it's not only a great festival to enter, but a great film night to attend. I've enjoyed every film i've seen so far.”
Chris Cronin, Director.

How our monthly festival works…

Our Monthly Festival is a showcase of Short films from around the world, screening 50 minutes of short film in the first half, followed by our selected Feature Short in the second. We also host a Q&A with filmmakers able to attend and talks with local creatives.
At each event, two films will be selected to win either one of our awards:

The People’s Choice Award
The Directors Choice Award

Films included in the first half are nominated for our 'The People's Choice Award’; This is evidently voted for our audiences on the night and votes are calculated collectively from all of our venues.

In the second half of the night we host our 'Feature Short', one film no longer than 50 minutes. This is our headliner for the event. This film is awarded, ‘The Directors Choice Award’, one that our Judging panel felt deserves recognition.

"Not only is IndieFlicks a brilliant opportunity to network within the Manchester filmmaking community, it offers insight into short filmmaking approaches worldwide."
Martyn Ellis, Sound Engineer, Noise Four

An 'Official Selection' gratification and 2 x complimentary ticket awarded to each film selected on the night.

'IndieFlicks Peoples Choice' award.
'IndieFlicks Directors Choice' award.

(Each award is selected on the night of the screening)

This was a great festival and we were honoured to have our film, Being Keegan, selected to screen in it's hometown of Liverpool as one of the Directors Choice selections. The festival is run well with some quality shorts!

One of the best experiences I had with a festival. Went to the Manchester screening. All the other films were so good, the venue is very nice and chill. The audience is really eclectic and just interested in watching shorts films and to discuss it with respect. Full house also, which is amazing. The Q&A went great, professional and relaxed at the same time. The team - John, Monica, Myles and everyone else - really took the time to make us feel welcomed, showed us the town, had lots of fun. Got to network a bit, and the whole night just really encourages you to keep making films. Don’t hesitate to submit your film and if you can go to one of the screening go for it! Very nice concept of different screenings at the same time. I can only hope the festival will keep growing, and to go back one day!!!

Really cool night. Attended the London screening. The venue had a cool, relaxed, indie vibe to it. The organisers were really nice and friendly. The crowd was great too, they weren't just composed of filmmaker's friends and family, they were actual punters interested in short film - it was a good networking opportunity too. Having separate screenings in different cities at the same time was a nice twist too. I also liked that they didn't introduce the filmmakers until after the films were shown, which made the Audience Award voting less awkward! Would definitely attend again, even just as a punter.
