The first edition took place in 2003 in the faculty of Paris 7 - University Denis Diderot. The Unknown Festival was born in 2003 at the University Denis Diderot - Paris 7. The festival programme independent short films (many students films). It is this love of independence that is expressed when, at only five years old, the festival go to the Latin Quarter Film Library and La clef cinema - Images d'ailleurs . The following year, he has a great idea: he decides to make a beautiful party, and organizes for the first time in its history a prize.

In 2009, the festival leaves the Latin Quarter to take place at the Barge Cinema.

1 - CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION
The films must have been made after January 1, 2016.
All genres are accepted.
20 minutes maximum.
The team reserves the right to accept films.

2 – REGISTRATION
Registration is via the FilmFreeWay website.

3 - THE PROJECTIONS
In case of selection, the films are sent in MOV - H264. Some additional elements will be asked.

4 – PRICES
The jury of the festival will give 4 prizes:

- Best scenario
- Best staging
- Special mention of the jury

5 – INVITATION
The invitation to the festival does not include accommodation or transportation costs…

6 - RIGHTS OF DISSEMINATION AND DUPLICATION
Registration to the Unknown Festival implies the unconditional acceptance of the terms of the present rules. The director who presents a film at the festival declares to be the holder of the rights of diffusion, reproduction and representation of the film.

7 - CASES NOT PREVIOUS AND DISPUTES
The organizers of the event are responsible for settling cases not provided for in the regulations and granting exemptions to the above provisions. Participation in the festival implies the unreserved acceptance of all the terms of the present rules. In case of dispute, only the French text is authentic. In case of dispute, the third parties concerned resort to the competent courts.

8 - CANCELLATION / TRANSFER The festival reserves the right to cancel the event and / or competition, and / or to change the various venues of the event.
