Director Statement

The projects I've directed (Mrs. Fitzgerald Is Missing, Footsteps) explore real people trapped by extreme circumstances. There is no option but to attempt a way out. Sometimes this attempt is successful, sometimes not.

The situations I explore are reflective, to me, of real life. If you live long enough, your life will likely be derailed in some way. How you deal with that will determine how the rest of your life goes.

Whether the results have been positive or negative for me, I'm able to mine my personal experiences for characters, emotions and circumstances that I want to excavate in my storytelling.

While I did begin my filmmaking journey a little later than most, I'm very enthusiastic about navigating these waters. So far, I've been fortunate enough on my projects to collaborate with many talented artists who have taught me so much. This goes a long way in supporting my belief that the journey is the thing. And that journey continues.
