Inchoate, With The Light Go I

Inchoate, With The Light Go I follows the experimental music collective He Was Eaten By Owls as they record their sophomore album in the height of summer in the Oxfordshire countryside and also in studios across London over an 18 month period.

As the film develops it turns into a personal exploration of the motivations that drive the leader of the ensemble leader, Kyle Owls, in their compositions. It delves into what inspired Kyle and how, when faced with personal loss and grief, music can be used for expression and upliftment.

This documentary was filmed, produced and directed by Toby Bakare. Toby is a close friend of Kyle and a working journalist based in London.
