Director Biography - Harrison Tanner

Harrison Tanner was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He has studied theatre from an early age and most recently earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Performance Acting from Ryerson University. Since graduation, Harrison has auditioned and performed in film and television. Most notably, he had the privilege of working with Canadian filmmaker Ingrid Veninger on her feature film “Porcupine Lake”, which had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2017. Harrison considers his experiences preparing for and filming “Porcupine Lake” to be a major inspiration for his directorial debut, “In The Pines”. While he approached his first short film project as a writer/director/producer, Harrison is now in the process of creating a new project for which he will also perform. These experiences have developed Harrison’s skillset in many aspects of the filmmaking process and he looks forward to continuing his work in every capacity he can.
