Event Description

The IN THE MOVIES LLC First Annual Movie & Music Video Festival 2018 was created by the brain child of William G. B. Schley aka BAD BOY BILLY SLY who is the founder of IN THE MOVIES LLC and the founder of SLY ENTERTAINMENT RECORDS.

With over 30 plus years in the music industry; as an industry insider, he did things like Studio Administrator, working with major and breaking artists such as Doug E. Fresh, Popp Da Rippa, The FLO, and influenced his great nephew’s dancing (Prada G) former of Mindless Behavior. It would be a matter of time before “Billy Sly” evolved into the film industry. As a former host of his own cable tv show SLY ENTERTAINMENT TV & RADIO SHOW in Philadelphia in the late 90’s, on Greater Media Cable, he Produced, Directed , DP and Post Edited the show. He Directed several music videos and he attended as a student at The New York Film Academy and FULL SAIL UNIVERSITY for filmmaker and digital cinematography.

“Bad Boy” is giving away cash and prizes to film makers, from the film festival “IN THE MOVIES LLC FIRST ANUAL MOVIE AND MUSIC VIDEO FESTIVAL”! All of the bells and whistles are a party to this event. For starters, the event is taking place at VENTURE CINEMA 12 of 3750 Venture Dr, Duluth, GA. The theater teamed up with IN THE MOVIES LLC to ensure the filmmakers a fine venue to be displayed in. The movie theater is located around the heart of one of the Movie Industry’s main cities “THE ATL”! The festival will be judging movie of All Genres, Drama, Action and Family to name a few. Our main focus will be on filmmaking techniques. We will pay special attention to story continuity, footage continuity, lighting that compliment appropriate mood and correct genre titling. Example: If the creator states comedy as the movie’s genre, the movie must be funny! Lastly, the film must hold the interest of the viewing audience.

The other section will be dedicated to Music Videos. The music video will be based on best made, All Genres. So welcome to “IN THE MOVIES LLC”!

Awards & Prizes

Awards and Prizes

There will be 3 first place finalists in both the Movie and Music events. Both events will be ran in the same way. The winners will receive a beautiful certificate for being a part of the top 3 movies and music videos. The victor of the 3 finalists will receive the Grand Prize of $1,000.00 in cash for the movie filmmakers and the Grand Prize of $500.00 in cash for the music video filmmaker. A “32” TV will be given to the music group/Artists of the winning music video. All 6 first place winners from both events will receive a First Place Prize of $75.00, in cash. This money will be on top of the fortunate Grand Prize Winners. The beautiful Certificate of Accomplishment will serve as a reminder of all the hard work that went into the projects. A VIP BADGE will be given to the registered Grand Prize creators and a refund of his or her individual, advanced purchased “IN” CONSERVATORY pass of $250.00 will be returned. The First Place and Grand Prize winners will be honored with several viewings of their films during the weeks to come, during and in some cases, past the festival with a back end payment of 10% from box office ticket sales, from patrons that purchased movie tickets to specifically see your movie. Music video filmmakers will receive 3% for back end payments. This includes the 2 grand prize winners. All 6 movie/music filmmaker finalists will have posted schedules with Venture Cinema 12 as they do with normal purchased films. However, the slight difference with the posting and ads are that film festival movies will be advertised as special film festival films.

Rules & Terms

There will be 3 First Place finalists in both the Movie and Music events. Both events will be ran in the same way. Music video filmmakers will receive 3% for back end payments. All 6 movie/music video filmmaker finalists will have posted schedules with Venture Cinema 12 as they do with normal purchased films. All submission sales are final. All filmmakers submitting movies are bound to run times of 30 minuets or less. No exceptions and no special circumstances are allowed for this rule.

All film makers involved in the event and are representing a film, must own, be the owner of, be the creator of, pocess the rights to the film that is being submitted by them.

All Intellectual property of all submissions must belong to the submitter or the proper legal arrangements must be made with the submitting agent and the creator of any submitted film for the specific reason of submission to the IN THE MOVIES LLC film festival.

All votes are final and no appeal process will be honored.

The creator and or submitting agent of any film, holds IN THE MOVIES LLC., VENTURE CINEMA 12 and any associate, contributors, sister companies, holding companies and any of their agents or joint ventures to the companies and or organizations harmless from any claims against them for any reason. Your actions of submitting your film is conformation that you agree with these Rules & Terms and that you will abide by all laws associated with copyright, trademark and published works of all levels of film making, to include, but not limited to music, videotaping a person’s image or property, works and so on. You agree to pay for any damages that you may cause, due to your actions in breaking any of these laws. If you are found to be unlawful handling of someone’s Intellectual Property and you secure money from this festival, you agree to return said money along with damages caused by your actions.
