In Search of Lost Time
While contemplating the surroundings of everyday life, the film dives into the memories and the past, the past that now seems like a forlorn dream. Through the images of changing social and political landscape of India, while also grappling with the nightmarish reality that engulfed the country and my family during the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic.

Raised and born in Punjab, India, Taran is a passionate filmmaker who believes in the power of audio-visual storytelling. He has earned a Bachelors in Film Studies from Chandigarh University and has recently graduated from Fleming College in Environmental Visual Communication (EVC), a program taught at Royal Ontario Museum. In today's fast-paced era, he attempts to make storytelling a slow, participatory process where the viewer is more than a passive spectator but a participant as well. Inspired by what seems mundane, he uses everyday activities to create stories.
I always take very keen interest to my surroundings, the street I have lived in, what seem the monotonous and mundane life it attracts me the most. I am more interested in exploring the identity of the individual and the identity of the community I belong. Through the memories and stories of the past, one can make sense of the present. The present which now feels more chaotic and uncertain. But when we delve inside our past, through the fragments of it, we realize throughout the time we, humans were always amid the 'chaos'.
