Director Biography - Emma Troy

Emma Troy is an aspiring filmmaker attending Columbia College Chicago. She is minoring in ASL studies and hopes to one day incorporate her knowledge of ASL into her films. Her short film 'Date Night' was recently screened at the Short Shorts Showcase. She enjoys movies that make her cry and including mirrors in her films.

Director Statement

I wanted to tell a story about mental health and feeling trapped in your own head. Drawing on my experiences of isolation and loneliness in quarantine, I came up with the idea for 'In My Head'. This film is about the daily struggles of mental health and finding the strength to persevere in spite of it.
