Ian Aannevik is a filmmaker from the western parts of Norway. He makes short films, and aspires to move on to feature length films soon. He believes in honing his craft of filmmaking, and is meticulous in the production of his works. At the moment, he resides in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Hercegovina, where he studies at the Sarajevo Film Academy.
I am very fond of nature, and find myself often shooting my films outside. "In Mist She Was Standing" is no exception, and is a tale I based on the physical surroundings and local folklore. The film was shot near the highest sea cliff of Northern Europe, Hornelen, in Norway, which holds many myths of witches and spirits. It's a very demanding trip that broke our backs, but I think the result was worth it. I think my actors agree.
