In Memoriam Dr H.G.K.
Based on the famous short story by the celebrated Hungarian writer István Örkény, In Memoriam Dr H.G.K. shows a moment between two men on opposite sides of history.
The film stars Ian Pirie (Matrix Resurrections, The Last Duel, The Dark Knight) and Jon Tarcy (Outlander, FBI International, Atlanta).
This project is one of two short films written by István Örkény that are a co-production between Jon Tarcy, the Hungarian Film Institute and the Liszt Institute in London.

Ed has been awarded a UNESCO HIGH ACHIEVEMENT and STAGE ONE BURSARY for "Romeo and Juliet". Most recently he has been awarded a CREATIVE ENTREPRENEUR AWARD by GSMD and the City of London in conjunction with Cause4.
Ed directed his first show "Romeo and Juliet" with Astillero Tango Orchestra in a co-production between Salida Productions (of which he is the Founder and Co-Artistic Director) (www.salidaproductions.com) and the Mercury Theatre Colchester. It became one of the most successful shows in the Mercury Theatre's Company history.
After sharing a dressing room with Ewan Wardrop in Enron in the West End "Formby" began. The show opened to critical acclaim at Assembly in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2013 and has toured the UK for 34 dates in 2013 playing the Hackney Empire, Lowry Theatre, Cardiff New Theatre and Wolsey Theatre Ipswich. It has recently finished a further 30 date tour of the UK.
In Autumn 2014 he directed MACBETH for the National Youth Theatre opening at the Ambassadors Theatre in the West End. In 2015 his first musical West Side Story at Central School of Speech and Drama which began a close relationship with Royal Central School Musical Theatre course leading to directing A Country Wife in 2017 and in 2018 A Chorus Line.
He is also going to be directing his first feature film GRIEF, a Short Film "In Memoriam of Dr H.G.K" which has been selected as part of Raindance Film Festival.
