Mark Johnson has written and produced "SYNC", an award-winning short shown at the CHAIN NYC, Rockport and Prison City Film Festivals. Previous creative projects have included writing the screenplay for a Houston 48 HR Film winner ("Analog"), and co-writing a Scriptapalooza Semi-finalist screenplay ("Call Center Kids").
In Event of Modern Disaster is a film about isolation and motherhood, adapted from a flash fiction piece by Jenny Staff Johnson, a fiction writer and graduate of the University of Houston MFA program in Creative Writing. It was my privilege to direct this project, written by one incredibly smart and talented woman, and voiced and acted by another.
