Director Biography - Laura Saxon, Laura Ellen Wilson

Laura Saxon - Left:
Laura Saxon of Saxon Productions Ltd is a producer, director and actress from Hertfordshire. She has worked on many different projects both in front of the camera and behind. Laura has also worked on stage and back stage on a range of different productions. Laura is trained in a range of martial arts including Karate, Tae Kwon Do and Krav Maga. She is also firearms trained for film and television, rides motorbikes and drives. Laura's current credits include feature films such as I Hear the Trees Whispering, Scandolous, Cowgirls Don't Lie and more.

This is Laura's first time producing for Saxon Productions and she has enjoyed the process of making In Bluebell Wood.

Laura Ellen Wilson - Right:
Laura Ellen Wilson is an experienced actress and black belt martial artist from Lancashire. Growing up, she always knew she wanted to be in the Entertainment industry and at the age of 19, moved to Mexico to work as a Dancer and Singer in a 5* Resort. After 15 months in Mexico, Laura continued to work abroad in various countries and on Cruise Ships for the next 5 years, ultimately ending her career overseas with 2 contracts as Choreographer in Italy and Lanzarote. In 2017, Laura began her career in front of the camera and has since taken on leading and starring roles in feature films that have been shot in the UK, Bulgaria, Romania and the US. Most recent productions include the leading role in 'book-to-screen' feature film adaptation, 'Monster', leading role in 5-part web-series 'Isobel's Story' and a starring role in feature film 'Introspectum Motel', shot on location in Romania. Last year, Laura enjoyed a 10 week stint in Washington, US shooting feature film 'Friday the 13th: Vengeance' and 2 weeks in Alabama shooting 'Survivor Girls'. She is a first time scriptwriter and having had this story in her mind for some time, she decided to put pen to paper.

Director Statement

'We are so excited to be bringing In Bluebell Wood to festivals.

In our minds and from the beginning of this process when we first put pen to paper, this was the ultimate final goal for our film. Most of our child cast have never spoken on camera before and for a lot of them, this was their first time on a set. Their eagerness to be on set and to learn about the industry at such a young age made us strive to create the most professional set possible and encourage them to continue growing within such a hard industry. With an extremely talented crew and post-production team, we believe that we have acheived something that everyone can be exceptionally proud of. To round the experience off, we provided limos for all the child cast to attend the red carpet screening on Tuesday 26th October 2021.
