Director Statement

At its heart, “In Blissful Hell” is a story about finding hope in the smallest of things. It’s about the strength that comes from love and faith, even in the hardest of times. My vision was to create a film that touches people on a personal level, showing that even in the most difficult circumstances, there is always a way to find peace.
I wanted to capture the simplicity and softness of everyday life, even when life feels like a struggle. Through close, personal moments and natural conversations, the film shows how the protagonist and his family navigate their difficult reality with grace and courage.
The visuals are gentle and natural, reflecting the raw and unfiltered truth of their experience. I chose to keep the pace of the film steady and calm, allowing the audience to fully absorb the emotional journey of the characters. The light and shadow play a subtle role in showing the contrasts in their life—how moments of darkness are often followed by light.
In “In Blissful Hell," my goal was to tell a story of resilience and love in the face of overwhelming hardship. This documentary focuses on the quiet strength of a man who, despite facing immense challenges, finds comfort in his family and faith. Through his daughter and wife, he finds the energy to live even after becoming a crippled person.
