Private Project

Impulse

An exploration of emotions that we all are used to rejecting, and a journey towards accepting that those emotions are what makes us human.

Animation techniques used include pixilation, stop motion, and projected 2D animation. All sounds are created using voice recordings provided by volunteers who all shared their experiences with "negative" emotions in various languages.

Director Statement

Being involved in public speaking organizations since high school, I have garnered the necessary skills to be able to communicate ideas and collaborate with people effectively. I have an avid passion for animation, both 2D, 3D, eastern and western. I've taken initiative to volunteer for events and conventions in Malaysia, fostering relationships with Malaysian creatives before taking off to pursue my education in animation further in the United States. At SCAD, I was able to participate in events like the 24-hour animation competition, Savannijam as well as the 48-hour game development competition Global Game Jam.
