Ali Parvizi was born on February 22, 1995. He is an Iranian writer and filmmaker. He studied communication science and holds a Master degree in film directing. As a 5 year old, beside watching and loving movies like The Matrix and The Lion King, I was obsessed with the behind the scene videos of movies - maybe more than a movie itself!
Also I was getting notice when a Film surprised, amazed and made me Wonder - and I fell in love with that: The Cinema Art of making people Wonder!
Ali has written script for animated TV series and short films. “Impossible (2023)”, a short experimental and musical film, is his first experience as a director.
During a course on directing I was inspired by some experimental films base on the counterpoint of Picture and Sound (Music). On the same time I was obsessed with the idea of making a piece of music with ordinary sounds in our environment and atonal sounds.
So I thought of recomposing the most familiar theme song of Mission Impossible with sounds in a barbershop. And as a conflict in story I pictured a barber which is the best barber and a guy whose hair is can not be cut!
Because of my low budget the production was so compressed and also fun. And all actors had no work experience. Making this short film was very productive for me and I’m just seeking for future opportunities to make my next films.
